Now that the Samsung Galaxy Nexus is available on Verizon, just how well does the Android Ice Cream Sandwich packing smartphone stand up to the Samsung Galaxy S II, or to be precise the Sprint version of the Galaxy S II, the Samsung Epic 4G Touch? Well you are about to find out as we have a two-part video confrontation between the two smartphones for your viewing consideration below.
The Samsung Galaxy Nexus versus the Samsung Galaxy S II, Epic 4G Touch comes our way courtesy of Aaron Baker over at Phone Dog who pits both Android devices against each other in a two-part video lasting just over 25-minutes to see which device can come out tops.
Spec wise the Samsung Galaxy Nexus offers a 4.65-inch Super AMOLED HD 720p display, 1.2GHz dual core processor, 5 megapixel rear facing camera, front facing camera, 1080p video, and runs Android 4.0 and 4G LTE.
The Samsung Epic 4G Touch offers a 4.52-inch Super AMOLED Plus display along with a 1.2Ghz dual core processor, 8 megapixel rear facing camera, front facing camera, 1080p video and runs Android 2.3 Gingerbread with TouchWiz UI and 4G connectivity.
Both Android handsets are high-end devices on their respective carriers, but the Epic 4G Touch will be updated to Android 4.0 at some point in the not too distant future, so with that in mind which of these devices can come out on top?
Well I’ll leave you to head on down and mash those play buttons to check out the video confrontation to see which device if any can lay claim to the title, but feel free to let us know if you agree or disagree with Aaron’s appraisal…enjoy.
