If you are one of the Android faithful out there that wants the latest Android slate out of the Asus camp, but would have preferred the Asus Transformer Prime to have been a smaller tablet than its 10-inch then you just might like to know that there’s word going round that a mini version of the Transformer Prime just might make an appearance in the not too distant future.
According to an article over on Ubergizmo the guys over at Notebook Italia have it that Asus will be showing off three new devices during CES 2012 the first of which will be an Asus Transformer Prime Mini, a 7-inch version of the Android tablet.
This new 7-inch Asus Transformer Prime will apparently also have a smaller keyboard dock as well so if can do its transforming thing like its bigger brother and will apparently command a price tag of roughly $299.
Other than the smaller Transformer Prime, Asus will also debut a refreshed Asus Eee Memo Pad that will sport a 7-inch touch screen along with a 1.2GHz dual core processor, 3G, WiFi, and from 16GB to 64GB internal storage, and will also apparently be touting a 3D capable version as well.
Lastly Asus will show off their Asus Padfone, which we have already heard of before and will be an Android Gingerbread device as far as we know, but rumour has it the Asus Padfone is expected to release sometime in February.
And that’s your lot for now, obviously we’ll deliver more info on these new Asus devices as and when we hear, but for now, does a smaller version of the Asus Transformer Prime float your mobile boat?
