At the end of 2011, Samsung’s new Galaxy Nexus benefiting from Android’s new Ice Cream Sandwich OS finally released to the world. Unfortunately as with the Galaxy S II smartphone when it arrived, the US were left waiting. In the meantime leaving customers feeling frustrated, neighboring country Canada was ready to announce its arrival.
Lapping up the new Samsung addition, Canadian carrier Bell were the first to exclusivity launch the new phone. Today according to Phandroid.com, other providers will now be joining in such as Rogers and TELUS. Customers wanting to purchase the Galaxy Nexus at Rogers will not have too much longer to wait, with reports that the device will be ready for a January 10th launch, alongside carrier Fido.
Prices for the individual carriers remain a mystery for the time being, but if the details are anything to go by from carrier Bell, then customers may have to sign up to a three-year contract with a price of $159.99.
