The newest Windows Phone smartphone from the Nokia camp will apparently be the Nokia Ace, also known as the Nokia Lumia 900 and word has it that Nokia and Microsoft partners will receive a major marketing launch backed by some $100 million, so perhaps Nokia wants to make sure the Nokia Ace makes a bigger impression that the Nokia Lumia 800.
According to the guys over at Apple Insider, unnamed sources have apparently confirmed to BetaNews that the Nokia Ace smartphone will launch in March accompanied by a major marketing push in Q2 of 2012 and the Nokia Ace will be the new flagship Windows Phone handset.
Apparently AT&T have been allotted “hero” status over the Nokia Ace, although when it comes to just how much each will be donating to that $100 million remains unclear at this time. “Hero” status means that AT&T will be promoting the Nokia Ace in their advertising via direct store associates and retail channels.
Spec wise, according to the guys over at Pocket Now, the Nokia Ace will offer a 4.3-inch WVGA touch screen, Tango operating system, an 8 megapixel camera, 4G LTE connectivity, 512MB RAM, 1.4GHz processor, ClearBlack tech, and a 1830mAh battery.
Apparently Nokia is due to hold a Windows Phone based event on the 9th of this month as part of CES 2012 in Las Vegas, and it is expected Nokia will unveil the Nokia Ace during the event.
