Griffin to debut mobile case collection at CES 2012
If you have a mobile device then you may want at some point to purchase a case for your smartphone, tablet or eReader, and apparently during CES 2012 in Las Vegas next week, Griffin Technology will be rolling out their spring collection of mobile device cases including cases for eReaders, the iPhone and the Apple iPad.
Although Griffin will be rolling our more cases for other mobile devices as well and all apparently aligned with leading fashion trends with case designs taking texture cues and drawing colour from such fashion houses as Prada, Givenchy, Alexander McQueen and more.
The director of industrial design at Griffin, George Campbell says, “With a diverse array of contemporary textures and fashion-forward designs, we’ve created Spring collections that allow consumers to make their own personal fashion statement.”
Apparently several lines in the Griffin Elan series will explore armour-style and rougher textures than seen before, whilst faux skins, fur inspired patterns and pressed metal looks will dress the Elan hard shell cases for the iPhone 4S whilst larger cases for the Apple iPad, tablets and eReaders in the Elan folios will gain flashes of colour along with animal prints and patent leather.
Griffin’s Outfit Flock cases come in muted browns, blues and greens along with the look of cracked aged paint, woven rattans and worn leather will all make an appearance in the Elan Passport and Elan Folio ranges.
Campbell commented, “A lot of our colorways for 2012 have an intentionally analogue feel … neutral colors, simplified shapes, and nostalgic textures.”
