For those here in the United Kingdom who might be after an Android tablet you might like to know that Orange has now announced the Orange Tahiti Android tablet, which will be rolling out to Orange retail channels this week, and is the first Orange branded Android slate to be offered in the UK.
So to start off let’s see what the Orange Tahiti tablet offers the potential customer, the stylish and lightweight 390 gram slate sports a 7-inch multi-touch LCD touch screen along with a 5 megapixel camera, AGPS, Bluetooth, WiFi and 3G connectivity, a 1.2Ghz Qualcomm processor and runs the Android 3.2 Honeycomb operating system.
Now for that all-important availability and pricing, the Orange Tahiti tablet will become available for £69.99 on a £25 per month on a two-year data plan that includes 1GB anytime data, 1GB quiet time data and unlimited WiFi hotspot access, although the Android slate will also be offered for free on a Connected 24 month plan with the San Francisco II smartphone which is available for £41 a month.
Everything Everywhere director of products and devices Paul Jevons says, “The Tahiti is a stylish, lightweight device with a great quality screen, which we believe really does offer great value innovation and will help customers to get the most out of their multimedia content whilst on the go”.
The Connected plan delivers 2GB anytime data along with unlimited WiFi hotspot access that can be shared over both tablet and smartphone along with unlimited texts and 200 anytime minutes.
Orange customers will also gain access to Orange Wednesdays whereby you can get two for one cinema tickets every Wednesday, and Best value Home Broadband from just £5 per month.
