If you are into flying devices via your iOS or Android smartphone you might like to hear that Parrot is soon to announce there next generation AR Drone, aptly named the Parrot AR Drone 2.0 that will feature a brand new design along with several nice upgrades.
According to an article over on T3, the Parrot AR Drone 2.0 is controlled over WiFi, and boasts a totally new body along with a front facing navigational camera with 720p that can record HD video footage and help pilot the device.
Furthermore the Parrot AR Drone 2.0 which can be controlled via an iPhone 4S or Apple iPad 2 or even an Android smartphone such as the HTC Sensation, new features a reinforced body, software upgrades such as enabling the user to engage an auto-pilot allowing you to point an fly.
There are also numerous new sensors such as a downwards-facing camera that lets you know the speed of the AR Drone, and a 3-axis accelerometer, 3-axis magnetometer, 3-axis gyroscope and two ultrasound sensors.
