During the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, Lenovo launched their latest device that they say is the industries “first multi-mode notebook with a 360 flip-and-fold design,” and is known as the Lenovo IdeaPad YOGA, but is the IdeaPad YOGA a notebook or a huge tablet?
Well according to the guys over at Ubergizmo, the Lenovo IdeaPad YOGA is basically a big multi-touch portable 13.3-inch tablet combined with a powerful untrabook.
The tablet part is joined to the other part via a patented dual-hinge that enables the user to use the device in several ways, you can fully close the device so it can be used as a tablet, or use the device as a regular notebook, or flip into a tent shape so you can watch content.
The Lenovo IdeaPad YOGA is a Windows 8 device with a 13-inch display, and powered by an Intel Core processor, with 8GB RAM along with a 256GB SSD and apparently has a battery that can deliver up to 8-hours of life.
For those that would like to snap up the Lenovo IdeaPad YOGA, the tablet come notebook will become available globally sometime in the second half of the year and will command a rather hefty price tag of $1199.
So, is the IdeaPad YOGA a huge tablet or notebook? Well considering that hefty price and the size, which to me isn’t that mobile, personally I wouldn’t place it as a tablet, but what do you think, does the YOGA appeal to you?
