HP’s TouchPad tablet may not have had been the most welcomed addition in the world of technology, but today the tablet is benefiting from a new Android Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0 transformation. Thanks to the firmware team CyanogenMod, this has now been made possible.
Releasing an Alpha 0 build of CyanogenMod 9 for the HP TouchPad, the team have also prepared a complete source code for the build. Issues have been reported with the alpha build, with features such as the microphone, audio, camera, alongside problems with Market access.
Trying to change past trends, the CyanogenMod team are keen to let others try out the build for themselves with the hope that they will gain more information on bug fixes and further improvements.
There is a walkthrough step by step guide, allowing you to carry out the build, but beforehand its been advised by the team to read through a full document here at rootzwiki.com.
