If you happen to be in the construction business over here in the United Kingdom and in the market for a smartphone that can keep up with the daily rigour of a building site, then you might like to consider the teaming of Motorola and JCB with the Motorola Defy+ JCB limited edition smartphone that features preloaded JCB applications for the construction business.
According to the guys over at Engadget, those branded apps include a theodolite, decibel metre and recorder, spirit level, calculator, torch, and even a DIY shop locator so you can shoot of an get a few supplies, and of course features the JCB logo.
The Motorola Defy+ JCB model is being billed as “work proof” rather than the usual “life proof”, and all whilst still keeping the Motorola Defy+ rugged style and the user can also use the rugged Android smartphone as a walkie-talkie with its group call functionality.
Spec wise the Motorola Defy+ JCB limited edition version sports a 3.7-inch Corning Gorilla Glass touch screen along with a 1GHz processor, 5 megapixel auto-focus camera, 2GB internal memory, microSD expansion up to 32GB, 2GB microSD card in the box, runs Android 2.3 Gingerbread and has a 1700mAh battery.
The Motorola Defy+ JCB edition also comes with a car charger with an extra long curly cable, and the smartphone is available to purchase in UK retail stores and commands a price tag of 260 quid.
