If you have a penchant for arcade style old school shooter games and own a BlackBerry PlayBook you just might like to know that AlphaWave for the Playbook is now available to download from BlackBerry App World, and there are two versions available a free demo version and a full paid version.
According to the guys over at Crackberry, AlphaWave by Hardline Studios, features high definition graphics whilst a great soundtrack gives the game a more modern feel along with fast paced and intense gameplay.
In AlphaWave for BlackBerry the gamer has to survive wave after wave of falling asteroids that take on differing speeds and shapes, and the object of the game is to shoot the asteroids out of the sky before they destroy you.
As the gamer moves through the game it gets more difficult and really challenges the user to make it through, and there are 3 difficulty levels to choose from, so as you become more expect at shooting those asteroids you can go for the more difficult levels.
As mentioned previously, for those BlackBerry gaming faithful out there that would like to check out AlphaWave there is a free demo version or if you prefer to jump right in you can purchase the full version for $0.99. Trailer video below for your viewing consideration.
