Obviously this year is the year if the Android Ice Cream Sandwich smartphone with numerous handsets coming out sporting the latest Android operating system or being updated to ICS at some point, and the latest ICS device to be revealed is from HTC with the HTC Primo, and we have some of the specifications for the HTC Primo for your consideration below.
According to the guys over at Stuff TV, an anonymous tipster has sent them the spec for the new HTC Android handset that is a budget companion to the likes of the HTC Edge and Ville, so here’s what the unnamed source has revealed…
Word is the HTC Primo will sport a 3.7-inch Super AMOLED touch screen with Corning Gorilla Glass, with a 5 megapixel rear facing camera, 720p video, no mention of a front facing camera though, 1GHz Qualcomm dual core processor, 512MB RAM and come with Android 4.0 and HTC Sense 4.0 out of the box.
Word also has it that the Primo will come with Beats Audio technology, although there’s no word on whether the device will come with free Beats headphones.
Apparently the unnamed tipster wouldn’t go as far as to place a price tag on the HTC Primo; however the guys reckon with those kind of specs the handset should command a price tag of somewhere around the £250 area as to compete with the likes of the Samsung Galaxy W.
Obviously no word on when the HTC Primo is likely to surface, but we should hopefully learn more during Mobile World Congress 2012 next month, and the image of the device above is just a mock-up, just so you know and naturally none of the above specs have been confirmed.
