Acer Iconia Tab A510 maybe priced like Transformer

Word is the Acer Iconia Tab A510 has now finally been officially announced over in Germany and we even have a little information on just what the Tegra 3 Android slate will hit your pocket for once it becomes available sometime in April although just when in April remains unknown for now.

According to the guys over at Android and Me, by way of Tablet Community, Acer officially announced the Iconia Tab A510 at a press event in Hamburg and will see launch in Europe come April.

Now spec wise the Acer Iconia Tab A510 offers a 10.1-inch 1280 x 800 touch screen along with that 1.3GHz Tegra 3 quad core processor, 1GB of RAM and in 16/32/64GB internal storage versions, miniUSB port, miniHDMI port and microSD expansion slot.

Apparently Acer also made mention of a 3G version of the Android Ice Cream Sandwich packing slate, which will be known as the Acer Iconia Tab A511; however Acer didn’t confirm whether the 3G model would release alongside the WiFi versions.

As for pricing of the Acer Iconia Tab A510, word is the tablet will command a rather hefty price tag of €500 in Europe, but the guys do say that once the Acer Iconia Tab A510 makes its way across the water to the USA, the tablet could come in carrying roughly the same price tag as the Asus Eee Pad Transformer at roughly $500, although of course that is just speculation at this point.
