Digging deeper into the Samsung Galaxy S3 is still at that “what the heck is happening” stage, but more news is surfacing and so we take a look into what we know so far and what will happen.
The latest news shows that The Samsung Galaxy S3 model number GT-i9300 is showing up for WiFi Certification, Pocket Now reports that the GT-i9300 aka SGS3 is showing WiFi Certification, but no information can be found at all regarding the WiFi capabilities on this device. However, you can open this Wi-Fi Alliance link (PDF file) to find out more.
So given this updated news, lets take a look into what we know so far about this new Android smartphone. The launch determination is all up in arms at the moment and no one is giving anything away, but according to Eldar Murtazin the Russian blogger and chief editor of Mobile-review, believes that the SGS3 release date will be April 2012 sometime.
We looked hard, emailed, talked to many sources and nothing really solid as of yet about this upcoming smartphone, but apparently if correct it will not be showing up at MWC 2012. Apparently there are a few teething problems with the phone so will not make an appearance, we personally believe in lets wait and see what happens. We got a hunch that it will show up, unless Samsung is waiting on Apple to release its new smartphone aka the iPhone 5.
We also said that customers might forget the Samsung Galaxy S2 if the SGS3 were to release soon, speculated specs suggest Android Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0 operating system, 1.5GHz to 1.6GHz quad-core chip, but then again Android Advices reports that the confirmed specifications will include: 1.8 Ghz quad core processor, 1.5 GB of RAM, 4.65-inch Super AMOLED III HD display, 10-megapixel camera and a 32 GB internal storage capacity, 2250 mAh battery, NFC Chip, Ice Cream Sandwich and Touchwiz 5.0. Looking at their article a look a little closer at the specs part, it shows many spelling mistakes, so are the specs are also a mistake and made up?
