The BlackBerry faithful out there, if they still exist, know that the first smartphone from the Research In Motion camp to sport the new BlackBerry 10 operating system will be the much rumoured BlackBerry London, and today we have an image of the BlackBerry London along with a few details for your consideration.
The BlackBerry London image and details come our way courtesy of the guys over at Crackberry, and say that the BlackBerry London in the image, looks like a “phonified” BlackBerry PlayBook with an all-black look and rounded corners.
The guys also say that the word is that the BlackBerry London is slated for the United Kingdom, whilst two other BlackBerry handsets are slated for the United States in the form of the BlackBerry “Lisbon” and BlackBerry “Laguna,” and are for Verizon, AT&T and Sprint.
Although the guys would be surprised if both the BlackBerry Lisbon and BlackBerry Laguna launch in London before the US as BlackBerry smartphones are the number one handset in the UK at the moment whilst over in the States, RIM needs to make a very big splash with the first BlackBerry 10 handset.
Current rumoured specs for the BlackBerry London are a 1.5GHz TI OMAP dual core processor, 8 megapixel rear facing camera, 2 megapixel front facing camera, 1GB RAM, 16GB internal storage, and of course BlackBerry 10 and is said to be roughly the same size as the Samsung Galaxy S2.
We’d love to know if any of our UK readers are patiently waiting on the arrival of the BlackBerry London, or have you decided to move away from BlackBerry altogether?
