NFC. It has been around for a donkeys age but has yet to fully grip the mobile space, but there are NFC supported devises out the namely Google Wallet handsets although Google Wallet has only officially been available on the Samsung Galaxy Nexus S 4G on Sprint. However it appears that Google Wallt is now available to the GSM Samsung Galaxy Nexus.
According to the guys over at Droid-life, Kellex was searching round the market doing research when he noticed that Google Wallet was available to his GSM Samsung Galaxy Nexus running an AT&T SIM.
Apparently Google Wallet was updated recently but was impossible to tell if the not that reads “Small changes for device compatibility” was part of it, but Kellex says if it is then GSM users can jump on in.
Furthermore the guys have figured out how to install Google Wallet on the Verizon LTE Samsung Galaxy Nexus, and as such one YouTue user Joey Wollenberg has produced a video showing how to install the Google Wallet app from the Android Market on the Verizon LTE Galaxy Nexus and of course we have that video for your viewing pleasure below.
In the video he goes through the lengthy version of getting Google Wallet onto the device, which apparently the majority of people have had success with so head on down and mash that play button.
If you do give it a go feel free to let us know if you are successful in getting Google Wallet to work on your Verizon LTE Galaxy Nexus or if you experience any problems by dropping us a line to our comments area below.
