You may well ask what cooking has to do with the tech world, but we stumbled across this report by Pocketlint showing off a new tablet on the market that is aimed more towards the culinary world.
Already recognized in the country of France, the new Qooq tablet running on Linux will be meeting a new audience in the UK further on in 2012. Specs wise, the new Qooq however you pronounce it, will pack a 10.1-inch touchscreen display, 1GHz dual-core processor, 8GB of internal memory, Ethernet for internet connectivity, timer, webmail and radio, weather app, USB 2.0 with the purpose of providing access to some 3,500 recipes from 100 chefs, of which 1,200 can be viewed in video format.
For the waterproofed Qooq in the UK available in colours black, red or cream, you can expect to pay in the region of £289 that in Euros is currently equivalent to 349 Euros. A subscription is required, with the benefit of 500 recipes for free plus shopping lists, hints and tips for the chef in you.
As reported, to gain full accessibility to all material, you will need to get a Qooq Pass costing you 1.99 Euros per day, with 9.99 a month or 99 Euros for 12 months.
