Toshiba slim down AT200 tablet, now ready

At the beginning of January, we gave you news that Toshiba had announced a new tablet by the name of the Excite x10, this would be a slimmed down tablet making it as the company described, the thinnest in the world. Also known as the AT200 or Toshiba Regza AT700 in Japan, we have some information today in relation to its release with its price.

Running on Android’s 3.2 Honeycomb OS, the super slim tablet measuring 7.7mm, packs a LED backlit display with 1280×800 resolution, 1.2GHz TI OMAP 4430 processor, 1GB of RAM, 16 or 32GB internal storage, 5MP rear camera and front-facing camera for video calling, 8 hours of battery and so on.

Courtesy of Pocketlint, the new Toshiba AT200 as its known in the UK is available now online from retailer Carphone Warehouse, for a price of £399 for the smaller 16GB with the 32GB retailing for slightly more. If you prefer to buy the tablet in store, then mark the 15th February on your calendar.

As we mentioned last month, the new Toshiba measures 1mm thinner than Apple’s iPad 2, so what’s it going to be guys? Toshiba AT200 or Apple iPad 2?

  1. AT200 and Apple iPad 2 are different when it comes with the specifications, I am not a fan of iPad2 but I already tried using it and I can say that its performance is great. On the other hand, with AT200, the features is enough for a tablet and I like the fact that it is thinner and lighter than other tablets.
