Looks like there’s a couple of new Android tablets been introduced to the mobile space in the form of the Swift 7 and Swift 10 from Chinon USA, although both Android 2.3 Gingerbread slates rather than delivering the latest operating system Android Ice Cream Sandwich, but are apparently considered affordable Android tablets
So let’s see what these two new Android Gingerbread slates offer the customer, the Swift 7 sports a 7-inch multi-touch touch screen with 4:3 aspect ratio, 1.2Ghz Cortex-A8 processor, a built in 640 x 480 resolution camera, 3G, WiFi, G-sensor, 1-watt speaker, 4GB internal memory, and microSD expansion up to 32GB and a 3.5mm jack
The Swift 7 measures 185 x 145 x 13mm with a weight of 440 grams, and has a 15.7h Li-polymer battery and has a high-quality aluminium back cover and 512MB DDR3.
The Swift 10 features a 9.7-inch multi-touch touch screen with 4:3 aspect ratio, again a 1.2GHz Cortex-A8 processor, a built in dual camera, 3G, WiFi, G-sensor, 1-watt speaker, 8GB internal memory, and microSD expansion up to 32GB and a 3.5mm jack.
The Swift 10 measures 245 x 190 x 11mm with a weight of 669 grams and has an 8000mAh Li-polymer battery and again has that high-quality aluminium back cover and 1GB DDR3.
Price wise the Swift 7 commands a price tag of $159.99 whilst the Swift 10 Android tablet commands a price tag of $279.99. The Swift 7is currently out of stock but can be pre-ordered whilst the Swift 10 is available and by hitting up the ChinonUSA website.
So what do our readers think of the Swift 7 and Swift 10 are they any better then other Android slates out there, would you consider picking up one of the Swift tablets over the Apple iPad 3 once it arrives, or do you feel these two are somewhat hampered by having Gingerbread rather than ICS?
