With Mobile World Congress 2012 not that far off obviously there will be numerous rumours on what devices will surface during the event, and the latest device speculated to be showing up at MWC 2012 is the successor to the LG Optimus 3D, aptly named the LG Optimus 3D 2, and the first image of the Optimus 3D 2 has now hit the net.
According to the guys over at GSMArena the LG Optimus 3D 2 photo comes from Etnews along with some specifications on the new Android smartphone, which includes a higher resolution IPS display than the original LG Optimus 3D.
The guys say that as the LG Optimus 3D 2 will be LG’s new flagship device they are fairly certain the smartphone will pack the same display as the LG Optimus LTE that being the HD AH-IPS display.
The word is the LG Optimus 3D 2 will also be thinner that its predecessor, coming in at 9.8mm thick as well as being 20 grams lighter, something LG has been working on with this handset due to the chunky form of the Optimus 3D being one of the main moaning points.
And that’s about all that is known about the LG Optimus 3D 2 at the moment, but no doubt once Mobile World Congress 2012 kicks off in a couple of weeks we’ll find out if these rumours are indeed spot on and if so learn more about the next LG flagship smartphone.
So judging by the picture and what little specification that are rumoured, do our readers think the LG Optimus 3D 2 could possibly excite the Android space and be a winner?
