Since Apple’s first iPad tablet arrived two years ago, plenty of manufacturers have brought out their own introductions with mixed reaction from an abundance of customers. Despite some saying that the iPad 2 is a little on the expensive side, it hasn’t stopped a rise in popularity with the Cali Company now introducing a new iPad 3 in the next few weeks.
One tablet that may tempt with its lower price bracket is that of the new Arnova 8b G2 tablet from company Archos. As a follow-on to the Arnova 8 G2, which as liliputing.com reported, has been on the market for the last few months, the new Arnova comes with a slight variation in specs.
Although the Android tablet with its 2.3 Gingerbread OS may to some lack the wow factor, the new addition will have a different case design with buttonless main home, back, menu and search keys. A change to its OS is hoped for with the introduction of the new Android ICS 4.0, something of which can be seen on the new Samsung Galaxy Nexus plus others.
Other specs to the new G2 tablet include an 8-inch capacitive multitouch display, 1GHz single core processor, 512MB of RAM, 4GB to 8GB of internal storage, front facing camera, connectivity with WiFi with support for the Archos 3G USB stick and host cable, enabling the user to connect to mobile broadband networks or camera/flash drive use.
We will have to update you with its price when we receive information, currently the 8 G2 tablet retails for $149 as a small indication.
