As of right now over in the good ole US of A the Android faithful can get to play with the smartphone/mini tablet, the Samsung Galaxy Note on AT&T; however if you are into tinkering with your smartphone you just might like to know that there is already a method to root the Samsung Galaxy Note available.
According to the guys over at Phandroid, US Galaxy Note owners can now root the Android 2.3.6 Gingerbread handset so they can enjoy its full capacity, and the US Samsung Galaxy Note root has been made possible by the guys over at XDA-Developers.
Word is it is possible to flash XDA-Developers member Da_G’s kernel via ODIN and along with other stuff the kernel allows adb root, init.d scripts and custom boot animations.
However, there are apparently a few dangers those that wish to do this should be made aware of before proceeding, and thus the root comes with the following usual disclaimer…if you attempt this root of your AT&T Samsung Galaxy Note you do run the risk of voiding the device’s warranty and risk bricking the handset, and as such you are solely responsible.
So with that out of the way, if you wish to have a go at rooting your Galaxy Note you can of course grab all the necessary by hitting up XDA-Developers Forums where you can download all that’s required and follow the instructions, and of course if you do so we’d like to know how you get on so feel free to let us know by dropping us a line to our comments area below.
