I’m sure most of the iOS faithful out there have heard the speculation that the third generation iOS slate is rumoured to sport a Retina Display, and apparently that little iPad rumour has now been given some validity as word is the iPad 3 with Retina Display has now been confirmed by way of someone managing to get hold of one.
According to the guys over at Phone Arena, the guys over at MacRumors have somehow gotten hold of an Apple iPad 3 display panel and shoved it under a microscope, which shows the pixels on the iOS tablet appears to be a quarter of the size found on previous Apple iPad tablets.
Thus the site says that this Apple iPad’s resolution of 2048 x 1536 is “exactly twice the linier resolution of the iPad 1 and iPad 2 which is 1024 x 768.” This then means the resolution density is enough for the Apple iPad 3 screen to be qualified as a Retina Display, as we reported previously.
And as popular belief has it the Apple iPad 3 is expected to surface in the first week of next month, which isn’t that far off really, but with the so called confirmed iPad 3 getting Retina display, this might possibly be a disappointment for some.
So with that in mind we’d like to ask our readers if they think Apple is somewhat slacking in the display technology corner when it comes to the iPad 3,after all isn’t Retina Display a bit old hat now, do you think Apple should deliver new iOS tablet display tech for their new slates, or will you be overjoyed the iPad 3 will have a Retina Display?
