As I am sure everyone in the mobile space knows, Mobile World Congress 2012 begins soon and during the run up to the event new smartphones surface and it appears old Sammy has now revealed a couple of new additions to their popular Galaxy line in the form of the Samsung Galaxy Mini 2 and Samsung Galaxy Ace 2.
According to the guys over at Engadget, Samsung has now officially announced both Android devices with the Samsung Galaxy Ace 2 being available here in the United Kingdom as of April whilst the Samsung Galaxy Mini 2 will become available in France on launch and then rolled out globally.
Like the previous Samsung Galaxy Ace and Samsung Galaxy Mini, the Galaxy Ace 2 commands the most interesting of specifications such as a 3.8-inch WVGA PLS TFT touch screen along with a 5 megapixel rear facing auto-focus camera with flash, a VGA front facing camera, HSDPA 14.4 Mbps, GPS/GLONASS, 4GB internal storage, 800Mhz dual core processor, WiFi, Bluetooth 3.0, microSD expansion, 1500mAh battery and runs Android 2.3 Gingerbread.
The Samsung Galaxy Mini 2 offers a 3.27-inch HVGA TFT touch screen along with a 3 megapixel fixed-focus rear facing camera, HSDPA 7.2Mbps, 800MHz processor, A-GPS, Bluetooth 3.0, WiFi, 4GB internal storage, microSD expansion, Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS and a 1300mAh battery.
Size wise the Galaxy Ace 2 measures 62.2 x 118.3 x 10.5mm with a weights of 122 grams whilst the Galaxy Mini 2 measures 58.6 x 109.4 x 11.9mm with a weight of 106.8 grams.
Again both Android smartphones are to become available in the spring but as yet obviously no word on that the handsets will cost the customer.
