Samsung Galaxy S Blaze 4G T-Mobile Gingerbread letdown

Currently the most popular smartphone from Samsung is the Samsung Galaxy S2 until such times as Samsung deliver the Galaxy S3 no doubt, and over in the good old US of A the T-Mobile version of the Galaxy S2 is of course the Samsung Galaxy S Blaze 4G, and now we know the official target launch for the Blaze 4G on T-mobile.

According to the guys over at Cnet, a little late coming to the game the Samsung Galaxy S Blaze 4G has an official target launch of “late March,” and as for pricing the Android smartphone will command a price tag of $149.99 after a 50-buck mail in rebate and on signing up for the usual 2-year agreement.

Spec wise the T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S Blaze 4G sports a 4-inch Super AMOLED touch screen along with a 5 megapixel read facing camera, 1.3 megapixel front facing camera, 720p HD video, and a Qualcomm Snapdragon S3 1.5GHz processor.

The Samsung Galaxy S Blaze 4G will also come with such preloaded apps as the T-Mobile 4Gpro App Pack that bundles the likes of Triplt, Dropbox and LinkedIn and T-Mobile TV a version of the Yelp that allows you to save profiles.

However the Samsung Galaxy S Blaze 4G will still come carrying Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS which is somewhat unfortunate considering the latest Android OS is available, and personally at this point in the game one would have though T-Mobile would release the Galaxy S Blaze 4G with Android Ice Cream Sandwich, what do you think?
