In the Android space there are smartphone that lead the way in mobile operating systems such as the latest from the Google guys, Android Ice Cream Sandwich, and there are those handset waiting to move from Gingerbread to ICS, and then believe it or not there are those Android devices that are way behind the game and stagnating still waiting to play with Gingerbread.
One of those stagnating Android handsets was the Motorola Cliq 2 forced to play along with an outdated OS for quite some time, but low and behold it appears the Motorola Cliq 2 if finally entering the catch up game, as the guys over at Tmonews are reporting that Motorola is to update the Cliq 2 to Android 2.3 Gingerbread.
Apparently Motorola posted to their forum that they are looking for 1000 customers to deliver feedback on the Android 2.3 Gingerbread update before it is officially released to the Motorola Cliq 2.
Therefore if you happen to own a Motorola Cliq 2 and would like to test run and provide feedback on the operating system to Motorola you can fill out this survey if you are interested in doing so.
Has to be said, the Motorola Cliq 2 has been out for a whole year and only now Motorola is delivering Android 2.3 Gingerbread, it is definitely a long tie coming but as Gingerbread will soon enough be out of date the Cliq 2 will still have a long way to go to catch up don’t you think, or perhaps Cliq 2 owners should consider moving on to another handset.
