That special day will soon be upon us when everyone shows their appreciation of their Mother, well at least if you are in the United Kingdom as the 18th of March is Mother’s day over here, whilst in the USA Mother’s Day is still a way off on the 13th of May, so we though in preparation for Mother’s Day 2012 we’d bring you our top five choice of Mother’s Day applications.

We have a couple of Mother’s Day Android apps along with three iOS Mother’s Day apps for your consideration below, so let’s kick off with those two Android Mother’s Day apps…

First off we have the Mother’s Day 2012 Live WP for Android, which is of course live wallpaper to commemorate the special Mothering Sunday, and delivers many stunning background images along with Sparkle animation.

The Mother’s Day Poems app for Android can be download to your chosen Android device running Android 1.5 and above as a free download from the Android Market.

So onto the iOS apps and first off we have the Mother’s Day app for the iPhone, iPod Touch and Apple iPad, an application that offers the user Mother’s Day cards, Mother’s Day crafts, decorations, humour, activities, games, and Mother’s Day party ideas.

The Mother’s Day iOS app also offers Mother’s Day messages, massages you may quote, SMS, and songs along with Mother-in-law jokes, and can be downloaded from iTunes at a cost of $1.99, roughly £1.26.

Next up we have the Happy Mother’s Day Quote app for iOS devices, a must have app for celebrating Mother’s Day that delivers famous quotes that you can share and is a collection of thought provoking and heart arising quotes stated by historical people.

The Happy Mother’s Day Quote app allows the user to bookmark their favourite quotes along with sharing quote via Facebook, Twitter, and email and can be downloaded to your iDevice at a cost of $0.99, roughly £0.69 from iTunes.

Lastly we have the Mother’s Day Guide & Tips app, which for some strange reason the iTunes description says it is the ultimate Valentine’s Day app for delivering tips, insights and ideas and mor, so I’m guessing that perhaps that description is a mistake.

So one can assume that the Mother’s Day Guide & Tips app actually gives tips, ideas and insights for Mother’s Day and not Valentines, still if you want this application you can grab it from iTunes at a cost of $0.99, approx £0.69.
