Polaroid Pro (X11B) Android smartphone is photogenic
As the Mobile World Congress event in Barcelona has drawn to a close, many devices have been announced and presented to the technology world, those from Samsung, Acer, HTC and so on. One that deserves a mention is Polaroid and a range of Android mobile phone handsets.
Before now, Polaroid best known for its camera devices including the introduction from Lady Gaga have built up an impressive reputation, so what do we know about the new Android line-up?
Although details in relation to its specs are a little vague, Engadget have reported that the Polaroid Pro (X11B) Android smartphone packs in a 1.3MP camera, which could be upped to 2MP whilst other Polaroid version the A12’s camera will step up from a 3MP to a 5MP camera.
Disappointment was felt when Polaroid’s flagship 4.3-inch model didn’t make it to the MWC event, but we can report that the handsets will be running on Android’s 2.3 Gingerbread OS, a little difficult to perhaps swallow when you think of what some of the other mobile phones are running with!
Engadget reported that the new Polaroid X11B lacks in build quality with its feeling of
‘Plastic’ material. As to when the new handsets will come to their release time is still unknown, but its fair to say that Polaroid may have a little way to go with improvements needed.
We will of course update you with further information as and when it comes in.
