As the world waits to see what the iPad 3 may bring later today we continue to hear possible specifications for the device still emerging. It has also been rumored the iPad 3 or whatever Apple land up calling it will be available to consumers as early as the 16th of this month, and in the meantime both AT&T and Verizon Wireless have put up something is coming teasers on their websites hinting at the iPad 3 release.

Both of the US carriers seemingly have something big coming for their customers, and according to an article iDownload Blog, you wouldn’t have thought it will be for some run of the mill smartphone. US network AT&T has posted a message on its front page saying “Coming Soon! Get Ready to see an exciting new addition to our line-up”.

Meanwhile over at Verizon Wireless they previously had the message stating “Something Is Coming Be among the first to hear the news”, and offered customers the opportunity to enter their email address to be kept up to date with all the information.

It is not guaranteed the teasers are about the iPad 3 launch, but coming just ahead of the Apple event it is highly likely it will be. Previously it has not really been known for the country’s largest carriers to provide such hype about an upcoming Apple product, but considering the competition between the two now it’s hardly surprising.

Given the fact that Apple love’s to keep its cards close to its chest ahead of new product launches, any information the various carriers around the world may have on the new iPad, they won’t want to let the cat out of the bag prematurely and upset Apple.
