US Nokia Lumia 900 waiting to be unleashed
Went it comes to the new Nokia Lumia 900 coming out to play over in the good old US of A on the AT&T network, recent reports had it that the Windows Phone would likely see release on Easter Sunday, as we have previously reported. However the latest word hitting the net waves is the Nokia Lumia 900 should see release a day later on Monday the 9th of April.
It would appear that the 9th of April has all but been confirmed for releasing the Nokia Windows Phone, as according to the guys over on Ubergizmo by way of WP7lab, the Nokia Lumia 900 is already sitting in AT&T stores waiting to be unleashed onto the populace.
Word is AT&T store staff have been handed he device so they can familiarise themselves with the Nokia Lumia 900 ready to let customers know how to use the handset once it becomes available, but have been told they can’t sell the smartphone just yet.
So far thought AT&T hasn’t delivered an official announcement as to when the handset will release, but considering AT&T counter staff are now playing with the Lumia 900, that official announcement can’t be too far away.
As for the handset itself, the device offers a 4.3-inch WVGA AMOLED ClearBlack touch screen along with an 8 megapixel rear facing camera with Carl Zeiss optics, 720p video, front facing camera, 512MB RAM, 16GB internal memory, LTE connectivity and a 1.4GHz processor.
