If you happen to be an owner of the GSM Samsung Galaxy Nexus smartphone and have been patiently awaiting to update to Android 4.0.4, you just might like to learn that the Android guys have now announced that they have begun rolling out the Android Ice Cream Sandwich update to Galaxy Nexus devices.
The announcement of the Android 4.0.4 roll out came by way of Google+, and is being delivered to the UMTS/GSM Nexus S, the Motorola Xoom WiFi, and HSPA+ Galaxy Nexus devices, and will be rolling the Android Ice Cream Sandwich update out to other devices over the coming weeks.
Obviously some Android users will be gaining the Android 4.0.4 update that delivers stability improvements along with smoother screen rotation, improved phone number recognition, better camera performance and more, whilst others will be gaining the Android Ice Cream Sandwich experience for the very first time.
Unfortunately thought the Samsung Galaxy Nexus LTE isn’t on that particular list of devices, but no doubt it will be included in the update to Android 4.0.4 as one of those other devices in the coming weeks.
So we’d like to hear from any of our readers that own the GSM Galaxy Nexus to let us know if they have received the Android 4.0.4 update to their smartphone yet or if you are still waiting, feel free to shout out to our comments area below.
