As you know, HTC is launching their One range of smartphones, the HTC One X, HTC One S and HTC One V, and what better way to promote those new Android handsets than by staging the world’s first skydiving fashion shoot, whereby a free fall fashion shoot was captured on a mobile phone.
Apparently HTC challenged a consumer to capture the world’s first free fall fashion shoot on their smartphone, and the campaign that starts in the United Kingdom on the 5th of next month will use the world’s first free fall fashion shoot to demonstrate it is possible to take great photos no matter the environment.
The HTC One series world’s first free fall fashion shoot comprised of the amateur photographer, a model, make-up artist, and crew that sky dived from a plane at 126 miles per hour, and featured champion skydiver Roberta Mancino, Hollywood costume designer Martin Izquierdo, and LA Times Stylist Hayley Atkins.
HTC challenged amateur photographer Nick Jojola, who had never skydived before, to snap the fashion shoot on the HTC One handsets whilst free-falling in Arizona, and was filmed by skydiving cinematographer Norman Kent, and featured world champion skydiver and model Roberta Mancino.
The free fall fashion shoot was shot over 35 jumps by a team of 9 skydivers, and the all-important ‘hero shot’ was created at 12,000 feet above the surface.
So there you go, it just goes to show to what lengths smartphone makers will go so that the whole world knows about their new devices, even thought the HTC One X, HTC One S and HTC One V have all garnered quite a bit of coverage online already. Are you hoping to snap up one of the HTC One handsets once they become available?
