Nokia Lumia Smoked By Windows Phone Challenge London: Video
I’m sure most have seen have seen the latest campaign by Nokia to promote their Lumia range of Windows Phone handsets, called Smoked by Windows Phone, whereby several people go around with a Nokia Lumia 800 in hand challenging other smartphone users to outpace the Nokia Lumia smartphone in certain challenges.
Well now Nokia UK has taken the Smoked by Windows Phone challenge to the streets of London and pushed out a video of the results, which comes our way courtesy of the guys over at Phone Arena, and still does what all the previous videos do, shows that the Nokia Lumia 800 handset beats most other smartphones when it comes to doing things.
In the video below the Nokia people challenge other smartphone users to such challenges as updating their Facebook status with ‘hello’, capturing a picture and then sending it in a message, playing a tune whilst searching for a particular song, and the like and if anyone manages to beat the Windows Phone they will get 10 quid.
In the footage the Nokia handset goes up against the iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, a Samsung handset, and the guys say they think the Nokia Lumia 800 smartphone is the fastest phone on the planet, but you do get to see a few iPhone users saying their iPhone lost to a Lumia.
Anyway, enough from me, head on down and mash that play button to check out the latest Smoked by Windows challenge, do you agree that Lumia phones are the fastest phones on the planet?..enjoy.

You would think MS would abandon this shameful “contest” after they were caught cheating.
But NO, now they stack the deck even further in their favour. They have updated the T&C’s on  their site
“Your smartphone must be using the original, unmodified operating system that came standard on your smartphone. Any entries for which the challenge task has been pre-loaded are not eligible.”
But yet the MS guys have their tiles pre-prepared, the guy with the Nexus beat them, MS rep *already* have two live tiles on home screen, all he had to do was unlock his phone.
Another blackberry user was told to get lost too, his challenge was to email a pic to 5 contacts, MS rep had a pre-defined contact group with exactly 5 contacts in it, whereas the BB user had to manually add 5 contacts.
I hope they come to a town near me, they def wouldn’t be able to use what I would say on camera.
in a word………….pathetic.
