Droid-Life updates on Motorola RAZR bug fix update

I’m sure those that own the Motorola Droid RAZR and Motorola Droid RAZR MAXX where somewhat disappointed when they received and expected Android Ice Cream Sandwich update to their device recently that only turned out to be a bug fix update, and apparently Best Buy was informing their workers that is should have been ICS, but have said that the ICS update has actually been delayed.

However, the guys over at Droid-life have updated on the Motorola Droid RAZR bug fix update, and that Motorola has told their Motorola Feedback Network that the build 6.12.181 soak test has been cancelled in favour of the Android Ice Cream Sandwich soak test which is due to begin soon.

Apparently those that are not part of the Motorola Feedback Network can expect some type of official update to be rolled out over the next few weeks, as long as there are no major issues and everything goes according to plan of course.

Apparently the Motorola Feedback Network message has been removed, the guys presume it was removed due to being prematurely posted before the details where supposed to become available, but the message did state that the regular soak test has now changed into an official Android 4.0 soak test.

The guys finalise by saying that if Motorola does push our the Android Ice Cream Sandwich update to the Motorola Droid RAZR and Motorola Droid RAZR MAXX that will be great, and it will be just as great if Motorola rolls out the 6.12.181 update ahead of ICS as well, but they should know more in a few days time.

Are any of our readers waiting to see the Android Ice Cream sandwich update hit their Droid RAZR handset, and where you very disappointed when it didn’t happen as expected?
