HTC One X vs LG Optimus 4X HD: 47.6 & 44.5
2012 looks to be a great year if you are a fan of the Android platform with a number of desirable handsets being released or in the pipeline for later this year. Two such devices are the recently released HTC One X and the LG Optimus 4X HD and today we have news of the devices being benchmarked against each other.
When the LG Optimus 4X HD was first showcased at last February’s Mobile World Congress the team over at Engadget managed to get some hands on time with the handset. Unfortunately it left them with mixed feelings about the device, but this was put down to the pre-release software it was running.
The device had no problems searching through web pages and using pinch to zoom actions on 1080p video content, but it had difficulty keeping up with LG’s own custom UI that reminded you of the Optimus 2X. Now though the smartphone has undergone a few popular benchmark tests that reveal the quad core Tegra 3 handset has plenty to offer users once it is available.
Going up against the HTC One X in Quadrant tests it was left behind, but in the similar AnTuTu benchmark it beat HTCs flagship smartphone. It has to be remembered though that these results that can be seen below, are not the final scores as this will have to be done with a retail unit once available.
To recap the LG Optimus 4X HD will replace the Optimus 2X and uses the Nvidia Tegra 3 processor like the HTC One X. Both handsets feature a 4.7-inch display along with an 8 megapixel shooter on the rear with a 1.3 megapixel camera on the front. Which of the two handsets do you like the look of most?
