Anyway let’s get to it and kick off with Find My Phone for Android, an app that not only find your missing phone but also allows you to track you kids. With the app there is no app icon on the handset, as it runs as a service, whilst all text messages get deleted so they are not noted.
The Find My Phone app can show you, if you kid is driving, what speed they are doing, and you can send a text to the handset from another phone and receive a text back with travelling speed, direction and address, ring the handset by text. The Find My Phone app is available to download from Google Play at a cost of £3.14.
Next up we have Lookout Security & Antivirus, an Android app that features the ability to block trojans, spyware, malware and scan each application you download, the ability to locate your device on Google Maps even if GPS is turned off, activate an alarm even if your device is on silent, and log into myLookout.com to locate your device from any web browser.
The Lookout Security & Antivirus app also enables the user to backup their contacts to myLookout.com, and restore them to an existing mobile device. This app is the free version available from Google Play but there is also a paid version that offers more features.
Then we have the Wheres My Droid app, and application that can locate your device by making it ring, vibrate, texting an attention word, using GPS with a link to Google Maps, and now features an online Commander to make it easier to track your handset.
The Wheres My Droid application enables you to control from Commander at WneresMyDroid.com, has a white/black list to control who can use the app via text, delivers notification of changed phone number or SIM card, and has password protection to halt unauthorised changes to the app. The Wheres My Droid app is available as a free download from Google Play.
Next comes the ByteMe Phone Spy Lite app for Android devices, another application that helps you locate your phone, and causes your device to ‘scream’ an audible alarm even when the ringer is switched off, locate a geo-fix with a link to Google Maps, and starts a call back to the handset you sent the text from so you can hear what is happening around your device.
The ByteMe Phone Spy Lite application also allows the user to send a text with one of your custom activation codes and then ByteMe will do the rest. The ByteMe Phone Spy Lite app is again a free app from Google Play, but there is a Pro version that offers extra features.
Lastly we have the CellGuard Free Anti Spy app, which is an advanced anti spyware detection app that can detect such spyware apps as Spy Bubble and will rapidly remove the threat if you upgrade to the Pro version.
The CellGuard Free Anti Spy app for Android detects all known cell phone spyware and is available to download to your chosen Android device for free from Google Play.
