For those of you out there that own an Acer Iconia Android tablet and have been patiently aiting for the latest Android operating system to hit your device, the word is that if you own the Acer A100 or Acer A500 tablet your wait to be updated to Android Ice Cream Sandwich is almost at an end.
According to the guys over at Ubergizmo, Acer will begin rolling out the Android Ice Cream Sandwich update to the Acer A100 and Acer A500 tablets as of the 27th of this month and onwards.
For those that own the US version of the Acer Iconia Tab A100 and the A500 you can expect the ICS update to start on the 27th of April, as for Canada the Acer A500 will be updated on the 27th however the roll out to the Canadian Acer A100 will happen in the 3rd of May.
For those in both Mexico and Brazil, the Android Ice Cream Sandwich update will begin for both the Acer A100 and Acer Iconia Tab A500 sometime Mid-April, while in Latin America the Acer A100 will gain the update as of the 25th of April while the Acer A500 will see the ICS update as of the 27th of April.
However, according to the guys, for those over in the US that own the AT&T variant known as the Acer Iconia Tab A510, it appears you are somewhat out of luck when it comes to Android 4.0 as the word is there is no planned update for the tablet.
