Beats Audio sub-$200 AT&T HTC One X on May 6
Away from the Samsung Galaxy S III arguably the next best thing that is becoming available on the Android platform at the moment is the HTC One X, and we now have news of the Beats Audio device that will be available as a sub $200 on May 6th.
It has been announced the smartphone will be the first device to launch on AT&T that will be already running Android Ice Cream Sandwich, and it will be available on the carrier from May 6th priced at $199.99. It is also the first AT&T smartphone that features Beats by Dr. Dre Audio built into the hardware and software.
This is coupled with the first AT&T handset to offer customers HTC Sense 4.0 that brings with it enhancements to the camera lens, sensor, software, and the authentic sound experience provided by Dr. Dre Audio. The battery is promised to provide long lasting performance that can accommodate even the heaviest of use.
Pre-orders for the HTC One X begin on April 22nd with interested customers being able visit any AT&T owned retail store or the AT&T website here. To recap the HTC One X has a 4.7-inch 720p HD display that provides great images from every angle. It is powered by a 1.5 GHZ Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 dual core processor and features an eight megapixel HD camera capable of HD video capture.
Supplying all the power to this tech is the 1,800 mAh embedded battery that with the software improvements boosts battery performance by between 50 and 100 percent compared to older HTC handsets. The device is 4G LTE and HSPA+ compatible to further enhance the experience of the new smartphone.
