We have a clever application for you today for users of iOS devices that also have a Twitter account. Recently updated TeleTweet allows users to send and receive Twitter messages via Morse code, and there is an added bonus for those users that install the app by the end of April 26th.
TeleTweet is brought to you by Shacked Software who are Hawaii’s leading developer of iPhone and iPad apps have created the application to provide the look, feel, and sound of classic telegraph keys, which integrate with Twitter to give users a nostalgic feel of sending or receiving a telegram in Morse code.
Users that install the application before midnight on April 26th get free access to a Morse code cheat sheet that has been designed in authentic steampunk style. Users create messages via the realistic telegraph key as they are automatically turned into letters and numbers before being posted to their Twitter streams for their followers to read.
The people that users follow on Twitter the application translates their messages into Morse code and prints them via an authentic 1869 Thomas Edison Ticker Tape Machine, so they look just like they would if you were receiving actual telegrams.
Other features of the application includes the chance to learn Morse code or teach it to others, have messages read aloud in Morse code, works in any language, compose tweets with a single finger, and much more.
