In the last few years retro gaming has become a big business with classic titles being re-released onto newer systems for gamers old and new to enjoy again. Today we can tell you that iOS users are in for a treat later this week in the shape of Marvel Vs. Capcom 2.
The combat classic will be released onto the iOS platform on April 25th, and as Whatculture are reporting fans will again be able to enjoy all of the franchises favourite characters, which includes the likes of Mega Man, Ryu, Iron Man, and Wolverine as players put their favourite characters from the Marvel and Capcom universes against each other.
Just like the original version that was released all those years ago in 2000, the iOS version will also include the ‘Variable System’ that allows players to tag in other team members at anytime they want. This was originally designed for the games first release, and is also key in achieving the most powerful attack in the game, the Team Hyper Combo.
This is where all three members of a player’s team use their ultimate powers in combination. Altogether the iOS version of the game includes all the 28 characters from the Capcom side of the fence and the 28 characters from the Marvel side. The official press release for the game details all the characters involved in the game along with some of their respective moves, but unfortunately doesn’t reveal any details about device requirements or pricing.
Given the iOS version of Marvel Vs. Capcom 2 is only a couple of days away from being released fans of the title can wait that long. Hopefully the team responsible for the iOS version can quickly get a version for the Android platform released.
