Will you buy Rogers Samsung Galaxy Rugby?

Only a few days ago we brought you the news of another tough handset the JCB Pro Smart Toughphone, but with the Samsung Galaxy Rugby Canadian carrier Bell had decided to delay its release, but as Mobile Syrup are reporting rival Rogers has put the handset up for availability first.

The Android powered tougher handset is being listed by the carrier for only $49.99 with a new three year contract going up to $229.99 without a new contract. For your hard earned money the Samsung Galaxy Rugby offers owners the Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system, and the device is IP67 rated that offers protection from water and dust.

Other notable features include a 3.7-inch scratch resistant screen with 320 x 480 resolution, and it is powered by an 800 MHz processor, and owners also get a three megapixel camera capable of video capture, GPS, Wi-Fi, and DLNA compatibility. The battery life is claimed to have a talk time of up to nine hours with standby of up to seventeen days claimed, or if you want to play music on the handset while you are working it can offer up to eight hours.
