Optimus True HD LTE heading for Europe and Asia

The LG Optimus True HD LTE smartphone is already in the United States, Canada, Korea and Japan, but the Android 2.3 Gingerbread 4G LTE enabled smartphone is now about to spread across the globe further, as LG has now announced the device is coming to both Europe and Asia.

According to the guys over at Ubergizmo, LG has now gone official and announced (PDF) that the popular LG Optimus True HD LTE will be arriving in Germany, Sweden, Portugal, Singapore and Hong Kong.

Spec wise the LG Optimus True HD LTE offers the user a 4.5-inch True HD IPS touch screen at 1280 x 720 resolution, along with an 8 megapixel camera, 1.5GHz dual core processor, 1GB RAM, and Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system.

However the LG Optimus True HD LTE handset will see an update to Android Ice Cream Sandwich at some point hopefully in the not too distant future, but LG hasn’t yet stated just when.

The president and CEO of LG, Dr. Jong-seok Park says that with the LG Optimus True HD LTE, they want customers to understand that LTE is not just about the network, and that not every LTE phone is alike.

The golbe is slowing but surely moving towards LTE connectvity in differing countries, alhough the rollout of LTE networks is moving at a slow pace and many countries are still beuind in the LTE connectivity game, but hopefully eventually all countries should have LTE coverage at some point, its just a matter of time.
