If you are one of the iOS faithful that isn’t too faithful to Apple by jailbreaking your iOS device, you’ll know that the most popular place to download your jailbroken apps is from Cydia. However, it appears there is a new kid on the block that just might be somewhat of a threat to Cydia, and that new kid is called Lima.
And so all the iOS unfaithful out there can learn what Lima has to offer over Cydia, the guys over at iDownload Blog managed to get hold of a beta copy of Lima and took it through its paces on their iPhone and made a video, and of course we have that Lima video for your viewing consideration below.
The Lima, an alternative to Cydia footage last just over six minutes, and the guys have also done an in-depth article on Lima over on their website if you wish to check that out, but if you don’t have the time you can simply head on down and mash the play button.
Apparently Lima has one unique advantage over Cydia and that is that Lima runs completely in Safari, so no app icon or anything, just strictly web based. Setting up the Lima beta version was a tad cumbersome as expected, but when it officially launches it should be easier, but thus far you need to add a unique source to Cydia, download the Lima service, reboot your iPhone, then hit Safari and navigate to a unique URL.
Anyway, I’m sure you don’t want me to babble on about Lima, as you would much rather head on down and check out the Cydia Alternative for yourself, so get to it, and of course we’d lover to hear your opinons on Lima as to whether you would use Lima as an alternative to Cydia…enjoy.
