For those that are interested in BlackBerry 10 devices, Wikitude has now announced that they are to support the upcoming BlackBerry 10 platform, and will be the first Augmented Reality platform of its kind on the new BlackBerry 10 platform.
Based on the Wikitube Architect engine Wikitude for BlackBerry 10 will deliver to developers and customers a wide range of interactivity including field of vision triggers, multimedia support, animations and more, and will enable AR developers to utilise the powerful web techs such as CSS, JavaScript and HTML5 to create AR worlds.
Martin Herdina, the CEO of Wikitude says that the company is excited at the possibilities provided to them by the BlackBerry 10 platform to deliver interactive and immersive Augmented Reality experiences to BlackBerry customers.
The vice president of Global Alliances and Business Development for Research In Motion, Martyn Mallick says that Wikitude has done a great job at bringing Augmented Reality to mobile, and with companies such as Wikitude, BlackBerry 10 will be a content sharing powerhouse.
As yet there is no hard and fast confirmed date as to when Wikitude will release their augemented reality for BB10, but Wikitude does say they look forward to introducing the Wikitude World Browser to BlackBerry 10 users sometime later this year.
