When Samsung announced the new Galaxy S3 smartphone yesterday they also revealed some new accessories to coincide with the device, and it seems Samsung are not the only company looking to offer its customers official products to accompany their handsets, as HTC has revealed some cases for the One S that feature a neat kickstand.
The mobile manufacturer has recently launched its new One range of smartphones for various carriers in a number of regions around the world, and as Phandroid are reporting via Engadget they now offer some stylish cases and have started with the One S. Ever since HTC launched the EVO 4G almost two years ago now, many Android fans loved the kickstand that was built into the handset.
Now with these great looking cases from HTC owners of the One S can have their very own kickstand to use when viewing content on their device, and at the same time protecting their new smartphone.
The case is a hard shell body that surrounds the handset, but has a soft touch finish and will retail for $25. If you want the optional extra spring loaded aluminium kickstand version this will cost you a little more at $40.
There isn’t that much protection across the top and bottom or front of the handset, but this is often the price that is paid for added pleasure. The company has also revealed it plans to launch a variety of TPU cases for the top end HTC One X, which should be available to consumers around the same time as the One S cases are that HTC are suggesting is soon.
It will be surprising if a number of third-party case manufacturers don’t beat HTC to the market with cases that have the same kickstand feature, and could be a lot cheaper as well.
