There seems to be a new Android smartphone coming from the HTC camp, the so called HTC Desire C, we say ‘so called’ because there seems to be a little confusion as to just what this smartphone is actually called, as it apparently has a code name of the HTC Golf, and is an entry level device.
According to the guys over at Itproportal, a source of the unnamed variety of course, has given them images of the unannounced HTC handset, and the source says that the device was previously known as the HTC Wildfire C, but will come out as the HTC Desire C.
The source has come up with a couple of specs for the HTC Desire C, although of course unconfirmed, the device should come with Android Ice Cream Sandwich, HTC Sense 4.0, and has a single core processor that has been clocked below 1GHz.
The guys over at Pocket Now recently ran an article covering the HTC Golf and that the device would be known as the HTC Wildfire C, with specs being a 3.2-inch touch screen along with a 5 megapixel camera, 512MB RAM, and 4GB internal storage, and the device is expected by the end of June.
The Itproportal guys say that the press image matched their image, and as such they believe that this unannounced entry level Android 4.0 handset will be known as the HTC Desire C and will sit just below the HTC’s One range of devices.
Having said all that, of course nothing has been confirmed by HTC, so the device could come out sporting any of the above monikers, but which do our readers prefer, Desire C, Wildfire C or HTC Golf? More as and when we hear.
