Pod2g has been busy on his Twitter account in recent days and the news is good but more on that later. First of all we have the compatible device update. Recently we published a list of Apple iOS devices that would be able to use the untethered jailbreak, while some were still being worked on and others were not expected to be supported. However, news today is that pod2g has updated the list of iOS devices that will be supported and it has been expanded quite a bit as his blog post tells.
Devices that will now support the upcoming iOS 5.1.1 untethered jailbreak are the iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4 CDMA, iPhone 4S, iPad 1, iPad 2 WiFi, iPad 2 GSM, iPad 2 CMDA, iPad 3 (new iPad) WiFi, iPad 3 (new iPad) CDMA, iPod 3G, iPod 4G. Only Apple TV 3 remains on the list for devices that WON’T be supported while others that are still to be tested but SHOULD be supported are the iPad 2 WiFi R2, iPad 3 (new iPad) Global and Apple TV 2.
Many of you should now find your devices listed so this should please a lot of people this weekend. News that the untethered jailbreak release is now only days away will also please a lot of you.
