If you’re in Japan and in the market for an Android tablet device then you could be in for a treat as Toshiba has just announced not one, not two, but four new tablets. We’ll give you a rundown on specs and features of the Toshiba AT830, AT700, AT570 and AT500 Regza Android Tablets.
First on the list is the AT830 and this is a big tablet with a 13.3-inch HD+ IPS LED backlit screen with resolution of 1600 x 900. It’s powered by a 1.4GHz Nvidia Tegra 3 processor and has 1GB of RAM and 64GB of internal memory. Other features include an 5-megapixel rear camera, 2-megapixel front-facer, Digital TV and 1Set, micro HDMI, WiFi b/g/n and Bluetooth 3. It weighs in a 1kg and dimensions are 343.8mm x 211.3mm x 9.9mm. This one is priced at approximately 80,000 Yen.
Next up we have the AT700 with a 10.1-inch WXGA IPS LED backlit screen. This has a Texas Instrument 1.2GHz OMAP 4430 processor, 1GB of RAM and 64GB or internal memory. It also includes a 5-megapixel rear camera, 2-megapixel front-facing shooter, micro HDMI, Bluetooth 3.0, WiFi b/g/n and runs on Android 4.0 ICS. It weighs 535g with dimensions of 256mm x 176mm x 7.7mm and the price is around 70,000 Yen.
Following on we get to the AT570, the smallest tablet of the four, which will come in two models, a 32GB version and a 64GB version. This has a 7.7-inch WXGA EL display and a 1.3GHz Nvidia Tegra 3 CPU. It also has 1GB of RAM, a 5-megapixel rear facing camera, 2-megapixel front-facer, WiFi b/g/n, Bluetooth 3.0 and HDMI Out. It weighs 332g with 204.5mm x 15.2mm x 7.9mm dimensions and is priced at 59,000 Yen for the 32GB model or 70,000 Yen for the 64GB version.
The final of these four tablets is the AT500, another one with a 10.1-inch WXGA IPS LED display. This features a 1.3GHz Nvidia Tegra 3 processor and 1GB of RAM and again will come in two internal storage options, 32GB and 64GB. There’s a 5-megapixel rear camera, 2-megapixel front-facing camera, HDMI Out, WiFi b/g/n and Bluetooth 3.0. It weighs 590g and dimensions are 260.6mm x 178.9mm x 9mm. Although these Toshiba tablets are being initially launched in Japan there’s a good possibility that they will also come to other regions.
