Google vs Apple iOS 6 Maps app
Google Maps has been out for a long time now and its apps can be found on Android phones as well as the Apple iPhone, we know that Apple has been working on its mapping system for a while and now it all seems to be coming and finally releasing.
BGR is reporting that the new Apple iOS 6 Maps app is set and ready for its release, new Maps for iOS sounds very good indeed to iPhone users. When this new mapping system for iOS 6 does release it will side step and of course rival Google.
The source above has exclusive information and stunning photos of the new Apple Maps app from one of its trusted sources, it has been noted that the new app will feature a newly refreshed interface as well as a cool navigation bar, apparently this new bar will be silver instead of blue. Apple will use the new silver colour with iOS 6 leaving the blue colour behind, the new version of Maps will have a floating locate me button, which sounds very interesting indeed and very similar to the one found on the Google Maps app.
There will also be a 3D mode access that will apparently make use of Apple’s C3 Technologies acquisition, if you scroll your finger over the bottom right corner it will peel back to show the 3D mode, you can switch in and out of 3D mode by tapping a 3D icon in the lower left corner.
Finishing touches are being made and is being tested in build 10A3XX of iOS 6 by Apple right now. Please take a look at some of the photos over on BGR above, let us know what you think, they are a little blurred.
Apple is now putting the finishing touches on its 3D mapping functionality, and it is currently being tested. We will report more as soon as we know more, in the meantime please do post your comments below, thanks.

Doesn’t look that interesting. But I suppose it’s better having a apple based one instead of relying on google
It sound good!
Wow… I guess I can use Apple’s maps if I don’t want Google street view, or public transportation schedules, or the better real time traffic estimates, or Real 3d pictures of cities… who wants all that when we can just rely on Apple for everything…
