For Android fans that prefer HTC Android smartphones, it appears that HTC has two new ICS 4.0 handsets coming out to play in the form of the HTC Desire V their first dual SIM handset, along with the HTC Desire VC, which is a dedicated dual-mode model destined for China.
According to the guys over at GSM Arena, by way of Mobile Review and Detik, HTC has now officially announced both the HTC Desire V and HTC Desire VC handsets with both smartphones running the Android Ice Cream Sandwich operating system and HTC Sense 4.0 user interface.
Both the HTC Desire V and Desire VC have the same specifications aboard, however for network support the Desire V has quad band GSM/EDGE and dual band HSPA on the SIM-1 port whilst the secondary port is for tri band GSM, while the Desire VC is CDMA/EVDO with a SIM slot for tri band GSM.
As for the specifications of the handsets, both Android smartphones pack a 4-inch WVGA touch screen along with a 5 megapixel auto-focus camera with LED flash, VGA recording, FM radio, Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi, GPS, 512MB RAM, 4GB internal storage, a 1GHz Cortex-A5 single core processor, Adreno 200 graphics, microSD expansion and 3.5mm jack along with Beats Audio.
Word is the HTC Desire V will release in Asia sometime early July commanding a price tag of €275, roughly $345, with a global premier soon after, and the guys guess the HTC Desire VC will release in China round about the same time, whilst the HTC Desire VC will command a price tag of €253 roughly $318.
